Dr. Lycia Thornburg, MD, FAAD, will be transitioning to her independent practice, Lycia Thornburg, M.D. Dermatology, opening Spring 2026 at 3535 5th Street, Rapid City, SD 57701.
This new clinic represents the next chapter in her commitment to science-driven, ethical, and patient-centered dermatologic care. Dr. Thornburg will continue providing comprehensive medical and aesthetic dermatology services in a setting thoughtfully designed to elevate the patient experience — where expertise, education, and compassion come together.
The new clinic will continue to offer comprehensive medical dermatology services, including skin cancer detection and treatment, complex medical skin conditions, and long-term skin health management—alongside thoughtfully integrated aesthetic care.
In addition to her current medical dermatology services, Dr. Thornburg will also offer advanced aesthetic and laser treatments, including MOXI®, BBL HEROic™, and DiamondGlow®, allowing patients access to modern, evidence-based technologies that support skin health, quality, and aging—always guided by medical expertise and individualized care.
As part of its commitment to bringing best-in-class technology to the region, the clinic will feature the Halo Tribrid™ laser, making it the first dermatology practice in Western South Dakota to offer this advanced hybrid laser technology for skin resurfacing, tone, texture, and rejuvenation.
Current patients will be able to transition seamlessly to the new practice, ensuring continuity of care.
